The rapport between man and nature is turned into bonds with surprising proportions and evolution.

The rapport between man and nature is turned into bonds with surprising proportions and evolution.

Idealizations: the pictorial allusion of Graziano Lauzana between ideal and apparent realities.

The theme of Idealizations alludes to the pictorial objectification of an ideal reality which underlies apparent reality.

Lauzana creates other worlds which differ from ours, though structured according to their own logic, developed from a complex system of symbolic references. In settings from a metaphysical and unsettling time, which might be interpreted as primigenial but at the same time post-apocalyptic, the rapport between man and nature develops bonds whose proportions and evolution are surprising.

On the one hand, mother nature nurtures and supports human life, but it also binds it in an inextricable tangle, engulfing it in ambiguous influences.

The originality of formal invention is one with the coherence of the composition, and colour spreads free of any realistic preoccupations, adapting to the heightened organicity of form.

Thematics

Lauzana has always depicted a wide range of subjects, constantly extending his modus operandi, painting according to his whim, frequently changing the perspective from which he interprets the flowing forms and phenomena, adapting his research to a growing number of inner sensations and situations.

Thus, he is able to appreciate the more grotesque aspects with gentle irony, the profoundness of spirituality with a sincere fascination, the human physiognomy with interpretative skill, the primigenial vibrancy of the animal kingdom and the morphological and chromatic richness of the vegetable kingdom.
